ESTIMATE FOLLOW-UP

Auto repair estimate follow up that gives every open quote a next action.

An estimate is not finished when it is sent. A customer may need clarification, a different time or a conversation with the service team. SKAIA helps define the next action with Foloup so the estimate and the follow-up stay connected to the customer record. The goal is an accountable workflow with a measurable outcome.

Separate silence from a decision

Why auto repair estimates go unanswered depends on the actual case. Check whether the customer received the estimate, whether the proposed work is understood and whether timing is still suitable. Do not treat silence as consent or a lost sale. A useful follow-up records the remaining question and the responsible person rather than repeating a generic sales message.

Write the next message around the quote

Small business text message automation should retain the estimate context and approved boundaries. An illustrative first message is: ‘Would you like us to clarify anything in the estimate, or discuss a suitable time?’ This is a proposed writing example, not a message sent to a customer. Confirm the recipient's contact preference and use an approved channel before any real outreach.

Close the loop without inventing availability

A reply can become a clarification, a staff review, a booking discussion or an explicit decision not to proceed. The team must know which state applies and when another follow-up should stop. Check scheduling and handoff behaviour in the deployment; do not infer a confirmed slot from an open calendar. Evaluate completed decisions separately from sent messages.

A pilot workflow to verify

  1. Select one service or estimate category and an agreed follow-up window.
  2. Record estimate context, the next question, owner and permitted contact channel.
  3. Test replies that need clarification, a staff handoff, a booking decision or a stop.
  4. Compare resolved estimates and confirmed bookings with the baseline; review exceptions.

Scope and deployment limits

  • Message examples are illustrative and require approval before use.
  • No fixed follow-up cadence or conversion uplift is promised.
  • Pricing and appointment confirmation remain within the shop's approved rules.

Questions before you start

Why do estimates go unanswered?

There is no single verified explanation for every shop. Start by checking delivery, clarity and timing in the actual case, then record the customer's answer.

Will Foloup confirm a booking automatically?

Do not assume that from this page. The configured scheduling, staff review and appointment-confirmation workflow must be checked in your deployment.

How should we measure the pilot?

Define what counts as a resolved estimate and a confirmed booking before starting. Keep sent, delivered, replied and completed states separate where evidence is available.

This page makes no measured-result claim. Provider compatibility, workflow delivery and outcomes are checked in the individual pilot.
