True Data Independence: Building My Own Knowledge Universe

Henry Kim ·

"True freedom begins not on someone else's platform, but by building your home on your own data."

Today, I heard the news that Grok has launched an RAG-based service. The pace of giant AI companies is rapid. However, the more I use external services, the more a subtle unease creeps in. Usage policies change without notice, and subscription fees fluctuate wildly. I cannot shake the feeling that my precious data is living on someone else's land. Ultimately, the core question boils down to: 'Where and how will I accumulate my data?'

For the past four months, I have been developing and using SKAIA Nomi as an answer to this question. Nomi, a vector-based knowledge app, is not merely a warehouse for information. It's a tool that connects scattered thoughts and experiences to visualize my own 'knowledge universe'. Efficiently accumulating and managing my Raw Data without relying on giant platforms – this is the true competitive edge in the AI era.

The philosophy of SKAIA Nomi is clear. With just your own LLM API and Qdrant API, anyone can instantly build their independent RAG. Data ownership rests entirely with me, and AI is merely a tool that illuminates my knowledge. The experience of proactively expanding myself without being subservient to technology – this is the future I envision through Nomi.
